Oakland’s historic waterfront district boasts close to 1,000 units that are in the development pipeline or currently under construction. This walking tour will highlight many exciting upcoming projects in the district: EBALDC and Related’s 4th and Broadway, two County-owned blocks in design phase, and Riaz Capital’s 215 Washington Street hotel conversion and their 220 Alice Street new construction. We’ll wrap up with a tour of R2’s modular construction at 335 3rd Street, which brings 38 homes, 3 of which are affordable, to an infill site within the district. We’ll hear from project representatives along the way, as they share their experiences on bringing housing to Jack London Square.
