Get to know some of the ULI San Francisco members who work hard behind the scenes to develop the events and initiatives for which our District Council is known. These industry leaders come from a variety of real estate land use sectors and lend their expertise and time to drive the work of our committees. We’ve asked these committee co-chairs to answer questions about their involvement with ULI San Francisco.

Q: How did you first get involved with ULI and your committee?
I joined ULI in 2022 and joined my committee in mid-2022. My involvement quickly gained momentum, driven by the vibrant and welcoming ULI community. It’s an active space, and we’re always eager to welcome more individuals who would like to contribute.
Q: What’s a memorable connection you’ve made through ULI?
During the recent ULI conference, I entered the DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) lounge and chatted with a ULI member. His openness in sharing his experiences and passion for giving back by improving diversity really stood out to me. It’s moments like these that capture the special moments of ULI.
Q: What keeps you engaged with ULI SF and what are you most excited about in the near future?
I am inspired by ULI SF’s leading role in national conversations, including its discussions on revitalizing downtown areas and office-to-residential conversions. The responsiveness, openness to feedback, and high level of engagement exhibited by the ULI SF staff make our volunteering endeavors more seamless, and I am excited about future initiatives.
Q: What do you hope to accomplish in the next year?
I’m excited that we’ve had newer members join the Programs Committee this year. I hope to spearhead and successfully execute events that inspire my fellow members and I’m focused on fostering leadership within the committee.
Q: What’s your leadership philosophy/style?
My leadership philosophy revolves around empowering teammates to grow and take on increased responsibilities. I find great satisfaction in witnessing others excel. As they do, it not only facilitates their development but also makes my role easier.
Q: Outside of work and ULI, what do you enjoy doing?
I like connecting people, especially in the industry, where I link women and people of color through group lunches and informal cohorts. I extend this passion beyond work by organizing parent meetups, gatherings for fellow college alumni, and social meetups. Ultimately, I value meaningful and deeper connections.
Q: What’s your must-have food or drink?
My guilty pleasure is boba drinks. The Bay Area boasts fantastic boba spots, and I’m always eager for a boba fix instead of coffee. Feel free to ask me for recommendations; I can provide a list of great boba places within a one-mile radius of work or home.
