The potential for office-to-residential conversions has been top of mind and discussed as a potential solution to downtown revitalizations everywhere. But what impact can it really have in San Francisco?

Join ULI SF on December 12th for a morning event featuring two panels focused on office-to residential conversions and what the hurdles, challenges, and strategies are for making them really work. In the first panel, we will hear from the authors of the recent report published by ULI and SPUR on the feasibility of conversions, both financially, from a design perspective, as well as learning about the policy levers that need to be considered to make conversions pencil. The second panel will consist of developers and City staff who have considered or are actively working on conversion projects in SF and can shed light on the process and the strategies they are using to convert their assets to new uses.

ULI SF is excited to take the recent report, From Workspace to Homebase, off paper and turn it into a live panel discussion. This was a first of a kind study by SPUR and ULI SF, in partnership with Gensler and HR&A Advisors, that explored the viability of office-to-residential conversion. Join ULI, the contributors to this report, and industry experts to discuss and debate the feasibility of such conversions in San Francisco.
