With more than 100 new housing laws adopted in the past five years, it can be daunting, if not impossible, to track all of the legislative twists and turns, much less understand how the laws are implemented.  This annual Housing the Bay lead-up session will showcase projects and explain how market rate and affordable housing developers have successfully utilized housing laws to achieve entitlements and other successes.  The panel will also include a high-level review of the most notable new housing laws adopted in 2023 which are now in effect.  Attendees will gain a sense of how the housing laws are moving the needle toward producing housing and where the best opportunities lie.

    Speakers:
    Elaine Breeze, SummerHill Apartment Communities
    Chelsea Maclean, Holland & Knight
