ULI San Francisco Completes Study Session for City of Santa Clara Planning Commission
ULI San Francisco was pleased to lead a virtual "Real Estate Development and Finance 101" study session.
The complications of the COVID-19 pandemic have created opportunities for ULI San Francisco to explore new ways for our members to connect and to advance the ULI mission. ULI SF’s Women’s Leadership Initiative was excited to kick off our fifth season of Boardroom After Dark, typically held in-person at a restaurant, with the first-ever virtual dinner hosted by Jackie Safier, CEO of Prometheus Real Estate Group.
After a round of introductions from dinner guests, Jackie walked attendees through the story of her career. A WLI Committee member facilitated a lively discussion between the dinner guests and Jackie before moving into an open discussion format. The dinner conversation touched on a wide range of topics, including being a woman in real estate, coming from a real estate family, effective leadership, team building strategies, housing affordability in the Bay Area, and giving back.
Mona Lovgreen, a guest at Jackie’s dinner, said of her experience, “Boardroom after Dark is a unique experience and I have enjoyed attending to learn from industry leaders over intimate dinner conversations. This year was no different. Despite not being able to gather around a table due to shelter-in-place, we had a very engaging conversation with Jackie Safier. I specifically enjoyed Jackie’s transparent and candid approach in sharing her story, her journey, and her challenges in the industry and took away invaluable advice and perspective.”
The 2020 Boardroom After Dark season will wrap up in July with a new format – virtual happy hours! This new format will maintain the intimate setting for discussion with a female leader in the real estate industry with drinks (wine is sent in advance to all attendees) instead of dinner.
Registration is limited to eleven attendees per event and is first come, first serve – sign up ahead of time to reserve your place.
