Member Spotlights: Black History Month 2023
ULI SF continue its commemoration of Black History Month by highlighting key members of our district council.
The spring school semester has officially kicked off which means ULI San Francisco’s UrbanPlan classroom volunteer opportunities are back! Make your impact on the future of land use by getting into the classroom and lending your expertise to the next generation! Introduce students to careers in real estate and show them the impact they can have on the built environment.
Virtual and in-person opportunities are happening from March to June 2023 at high schools all over the Bay Area, including Tamalpais, Lowell, Piedmont, Berkeley, East Side College Prep, Gunn, Los Altos, and more! No matter where you are based, we have somewhere for you to give back to your community.
If you’re a trained UrbanPlan volunteer, please reach out to [email protected] for this semester’s volunteer sign up link.
Not trained as an UrbanPlan volunteer yet? Getting trained is quick and easy, and volunteering is a great way to give back and meet other ULI members! Just submit this interest form to receive the link for our online volunteer training that prepares you to engage with students and facilitate critical thinking about the decisions made during the real estate development process. The training only takes around 1 hour to complete.
Once you complete the training, you’ll be able to volunteer in local Bay Area UrbanPlan classrooms and will have the flexibility to sign up for volunteer slots that fit your schedule, location, and preferences. Volunteers serve as either a Facilitator, who challenges students to improve their proposals, or a City Councilor, who listens to the team presentations, provides feedback, and selects the winning team.
We need real estate and land use professionals like you to continue delivering the UrbanPlan program to hundreds of local Bay Area students each year. Sign up to volunteer today!
