ULI San Francisco is delighted to welcome Carolyn Powell, Managing Director at Pacific Coast Capital Partners (PCCP), as our new district council treasurer! Carolyn has been a ULI member since 2014 and was integral in bringing the Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) to ULI San Francisco, serving as a member since its inception and as a co-chair for our local WLI committee since 2019.
Carolyn will be stepping into the role held by Becky Zegar of ARUP since 2021. Treasurers serve two years terms to provide oversight and fiscal management of the District Council by creating the annual budget in conjunction with ULI staff, and providing the District Council with regular updates on its financial position. The Treasurer is appointed by the District Council Chair and is also a member of the Management Committee and Advisory Board.
Carolyn joined PCCP in 2005 and serves as the Head of Debt Asset Management, leading a team that manages PCCP’s debt portfolio across the United States. She also oversees the Closing Group that supports equity and debt investments. Since joining PCCP in 2005, her responsibilities have ranged the entire suite of debt and equity investment including diligence/closing, servicing, syndications/participations, investor relations, fund management, as well as acquisitions & asset management for both debt and equity.
“I am involved with ULI SF as it both broadens and deepens my real estate network, as well as forms lasting relationships,” Carolyn shares. “I am excited about becoming the ULI SF treasurer because I enjoy working alongside the professionals on the board, sharing our unique perspectives and wisdom in our areas of expertise to support the organization’s initiatives.”
Carolyn received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of California, Davis. In addition to her service to our WLI committee, Carolyn serves on the NEXT steering committee, participates in our Local Residential Product Council, is an UrbanPlan volunteer, and is a member of the ULI Americas Urban Development and Mixed-Use Council on the national level.
Thank you, Carolyn for your continued service to our district council, and to Becky Zegar for her work as treasurer over the past two years!
