From September 15 through October 15, the United States recognizes National Hispanic Heritage Month, honoring the vibrant histories, languages, traditions, and values that transcend borders and unite Hispanic and Latinx people across the Americas and Caribbean islands.

The movement to celebrate the contributions of the Latin American community in the United States was introduced in 1968 and has since transformed into a nationally recognized, month-long commemoration of Latin American culture.

This month is an opportunity to celebrate our members and staff connected to the shared and distinctive parts of Latinx and Hispanic cultures, histories, and heritage. We invite you to join us as we read, watch, listen, and act towards a more equitable, inclusive space for everyone.
