ULI San Francisco (ULI SF) is excited to announce that we have been awarded an UrbanPlan for All grant from ULI National. This grant is made possible thanks to the generous support of Patrick Phillips, ULI’s former Global Chief Executive Officer and UrbanPlan Champion.
ULI SF is committed to broadening UrbanPlan’s reach and empowering students of diverse social, ethnic and economic backgrounds as inclusive partners in the UrbanPlan community. These grant funds will be used to support the expansion of our UrbanPlan program to Eastside College Preparatory School in East Palo Alto starting in the 2019-2020 school year. Eastside’s mission is to open doors for students historically underrepresented in higher education. 99% of Eastside students are first-generation college bound, and 100% of the school’s graduates are accepted to four-year colleges or universities.
ULI SF’s UrbanPlan program has reached over 12,000 students around the Bay Area since its launch. UrbanPlan remains a powerful tool to engage students about the forces that affect the built environment in their communities, enriching their academic studies, and for introducing them to career opportunities in real estate.
To get involved in ULI SF’s UrbanPlan program, apply to become trained as a volunteer at our Downtown SF training on October 4th or Peninsula/South Bay training on September 6th. Make an impact on the future of land use and join the ranks of over 750 UrbanPlan volunteers who help make this program possible!
