Get to Know the Co-Chair: San Francisco Programs
Get to know some of the ULI SF members who work hard behind the scenes to develop the events and initiatives we're known for.
ULI San Francisco is excited to introduce our new Associate, Arman Monfared. Arman is a recent graduate of UC Berkeley’s Department of History, where he studied and conducted research on the “modern” Middle East, specifically the power dynamics between twentieth century states and vulnerable minority groups, as well as the ways in which these relationships intersect with broader geopolitical developments in the region.
While at Berkeley, Arman was actively involved as a leader in the pre-law community on campus. As an undergraduate, Arman worked at a variety of political campaigns and consulting firms, where he gained a wealth of knowledge with respect to the social contexts, systems, stakeholders, policies, and discussions related to commercial and residential development and land use in the San Francisco Bay Area. Arman is excited to join the ULI team and looks forward to supporting our mission to make cities a better, more livable place for everyone.
In his spare time Arman enjoys exploring the Bay Area, reading fiction, writing calligraphy and poetry in Farsi, and spending time with friends and family.
