ABOUT THE ULI SF DIVERSITY MEMBERSHIP FUND
The ULI San Francisco Diversity Membership Fund is designed to open opportunities within ULI to women, people of color, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community who are underrepresented in the land use and real estate fields.
The fund will provide diverse professionals with a discounted one-year Associate level ULI membership and a range of benefits. In addition to membership, successful applicants will be paired with a ULI SF Ambassador (an active ULI SF member volunteer), invited to shadow a member of one of ULI SF’s many internal program committees (depending on experience and field), and given a complimentary pass to two ULI SF virtual events (up to $30 value). The total out-of-pocket cost to awardees is $50 (value is $500+).
This fund is hosted by ULI SF’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Committee to promote the advancement of underrepresented individuals as real estate and land use professionals in their careers and as leaders in the industry. In alignment with ULI SF’s DEI initiatives, the Diversity Membership Fund was created to reduce barriers to entry to ULI and to offer greater access to ULI’s expansive networks of professionals and career resources. Recipients of the funds will be encouraged to become active volunteers and hope for them to become life-long members of ULI.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY?
The ULI SF Diversity Membership Fund is designed to increase the participation of women, people of color, and members of the LGBTQIA+ Community who are underrepresented in the land use and real estate fields. Financial need, though not a requirement, is also considered.
Applicants must live in the ULI San Francisco District Council region and cannot be current ULI members. Awardees will be expected to attend a minimum of three ULI events throughout the year. Applicants can apply to the Diversity Membership Fund and receive funds up to two times. Applicants who apply for renewal will be considered based on active involvement in ULI during their first year.
