Development Manager

Primary Responsibilities:

The Development Manager will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day real estate development activities of the company and pursuit of new development opportunities. Initially, the most critical scope will involve direct oversight of construction on a multifamily/retail project breaking ground in the San Francisco Bay Area (San Mateo County) with a third-party contractor.

As a Development Manager, your primary responsibilities include:

  • Oversee construction of mixed-use, multifamily projects in the San Francisco Bay Area, with applicable reporting internally, as well as with partners and lenders.
  • Perform feasibility analyses of potential projects in close collaboration with finance, management and construction teams. Help inform and oversee the project strategy.
  • Prepare and maintain project performance metrics that include pre-development budget, development budget, and project timeline.
  • Assist with the oversight and management of external partners, e.g. architect, market data consultants, environmental consultants, community organizations, political officials.
  • Evaluate and secure zoning and other local government entitlements required for development.
  • Assist with the preparation of funding proposals, tax credit applications, etc.
  • Market familiarity and pursuit of new development opportunities.
