Deputy Director of Housing - Real Estate Development and Asset Management
The Deputy Director of Real Estate Development and Asset Management division is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating all functions and activities related to affordable housing real estate development on County-owned land, as well as asset management services.
Working toward functional zero homelessness, the Deputy Director will oversee the formulation, negotiation, and execution of complex real estate and financial transactions necessary for affordable housing development and preservation. The Deputy will also lead the development and implementation of asset management strategies for the Department’s affordable housing real estate and loan portfolios. Additionally, the Deputy will foster positive working relationships and coordinate efforts with County departments, external agencies, elected officials, consultants, and the affordable housing development community to achieve the County’s housing objectives.
The Deputy will also collaborate closely with Department and County leadership to oversee real estate assets, assess housing and community development needs, allocate resources, and coordinate across the Department of Housing (DOH) and the Housing Authority of the County and all stakeholders working toward affordable housing.
