ULI San Francisco is very happy to welcome the newest addition to our District Council team, Nate Hanson, who joins the staff as a Senior Associate. Nate is a recent graduate of Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College of Information Systems, Public Policy, and Management, where he graduated with a Masters in Public Management in May 2017.
A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Nate previously worked in Pittsburgh local government as Chief of Staff to the Chair of Pittsburgh City Council’s Committee of Land Use and Economic Development. In this role, Nate managed all legislative actions related to land use and economic development; spearheaded the office’s constituent relations; and, oversaw external communications with constituents and a variety of stakeholders. Prior to this, Nate was Communications Director to the Chair of Pittsburgh City Council’s Committee on Intergovernmental Relations.
As Senior Associate, Nate will work to support the members and committees of ULI San Francisco, including marketing and communications. Nate recently relocated to the Grand Lake neighborhood of Oakland, CA where he resides with his fiance Leigh and their dog Opie.
