In Memory of Nina Gruen
It is with a sincere sense of loss that we share the news of the passing of Nina Gruen, a longtime ULI San Francisco leader.
On October 10, at 10:10 a.m., The Trust for Public Land, along with the National Recreation and Park Association and the Urban Land Institute, is launching a 10-minute walk to a park campaign along with more than 130 supportive mayors from across the country. This unprecedented initiative will improve access to quality parks and green spaces for all Americans: because everyone deserves a quality park within a 10-minute walk of home.
The more than 130 mayors are from across America, cities large and small. They have joined this national campaign, including Mayors Ed Lee, Lisa Gillmor, Savita Vaidhyanathan, Trish Herrera Spencer, and David Haubert. In addition, The U.S. Conference of Mayors is also endorsing this standard. This is a tremendous first step in a long-term effort to dramatically increase park access in all communities.
