Place a few ice cubes and all of the ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake wildly. Pour into a beautiful martini glass or serve over a big cube of ice. Add sparkling water to finish it off…or not!
Recommendations for local ingredients:
Fill glass with ice cubes. Add quarter ginger ale, half pineapple juice, float Captain Morgan black spice rum on top quarter, garnish with pineapple wedge and maraschino cherry stuck through with mini bamboo umbrella.
Put above ingredients in shaker with ice. Shake vigorously until we’ll mixed. Strain over lowball with large block ice cube or crushed ice. Makes two servings. Garnish with fresh rosemary and twist of lemon. YUM!
Use a knife to cut about a quarter size piece of Orange Peel. Twist it over the drink and then… a MUST… rub the underside of the orange peel around the rim the glass. This makes or breaks the drink. Then add one Luxardo cherry. Finally, add the biggest single ice cube possible. I use silicon molds that make square cubes that just barely fit in the glass. Then, 2nd most important… use the knife or stirring stick and spin the cube for about 20 seconds.
The first sip should bite the back of your throat. The last should be much softer. Enjoy!
