Policy and Practice
ULI San Francisco’s Policy & Practice Committee’s goal is to identify best practices for addressing land use challenges facing the Bay Area and work with public agencies, non-profits, and the private sector to implement pragmatic solutions.
Our Objectives Include:
- Identify priority land use themes to inform programs and initiatives;
- Research and analyze priority policy issues and themes;
- Develop and implement a range of technical advice, educational resources, and professional development opportunities to help cities, counties, and public agencies through ULI SF’s Technical Assistance Panel (TAP) program, UrbanPlan for Communities workshops, and Development Partnership Training for City staff;
- Encourage strategic and project-based partnerships and collaborations with other organizations, when appropriate;
- Increase engagement with public sector land use professionals and appointed and elected officials regarding real estate economics and practice; and
- Collaborate with ULI national on policy-based initiatives that align with ULI San Francisco’s proposed themes.
