CIWI Partnership
The Construction Industry Workforce Initiative (CIWI) provides a pipeline to hiring BIPOC young professionals in the real estate and land use industries. ULI SF began its partnership with CIWI in 2021 to build a diverse pipeline of talented students to the real estate development, design and architecture, engineering, and construction professions. As one of its DEI initiatives, ULI SF supports CIWI’s Summer Internship Program through active marketing and promotion.
It took CIWI nine years to provide its first 100 internships. The ULI SF and CIWI partnership has accelerated the internship program, which is on track to complete the next 100 by 2024.

CIWI is preparing now for the 2023 Summer Internship Program. ULI SF invites our members and associated organizations to consider hosting a CIWI intern. For more information, contact Monte Wilson, CIWI Program Director.
