Join us for a tour of three major Oakland real estate developments that feature impactful public art installations. These projects demonstrate how art can go beyond aesthetics to support business attraction, leasing, branding, and wayfinding, while still contributing to Oakland’s vibrant arts scene.
We’ll kick off the event at Block Community Hub with a panel discussion featuring a developer/owner, artist/curator, and art fabricator who will share firsthand insights into the innovative practices driving the integration of art and development today.
Following the panel, we’ll embark on a walking tour to visit three standout sites: Uptown Station Mural, Watertower 8, and Golden Wave.
The event will conclude with a casual happy hour.
Speakers:
Marco Cochrane, Artist, Marco Cochrane Sculpture

Michelle Schutt, Senior Development Manager, Holland Partner Group
Sorrell Rainu Tsui, Director, ABG Art Group
