The hollowing out of downtowns has also created a strong impetus to establish a mix of land uses in districts that have traditionally skewed heavily toward office. This includes new places of entertainment which have the potential to bring people into downtowns and remind people why they choose cities in the first place.
Paseo is a highly unique adaptive reuse project that converts a shuttered 12-screen movie theater in Downtown San Jose along the Paseo de San Antonio into a mixed-use project with 25,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and 75,000 square feet of creative office space. Equipped with expansive floor plates and extensive outdoor terraces, the project has already secured several marquee retail tenants including Urban Putt, a popular minigolf restaurant and bar; Unofficial Logging, an ax-throwing bar and restaurant; and Eos & Nyx, a high-end restaurant and cocktail bar concept.
Join us for a discussion and tour with key project stakeholders, including project developer Urban Catalyst, City of San Jose Planning Division, and the restaurateur behind Eos & Nyx.
- Erik Hayden, President and CEO of Urban Catalyst
- Sylvia Do, Division Manager, City of San Jose Planning Division
- Dan Phan, Owner of Eos & Nyx (future Tenant at Paseo)
