Written notice must be provided to and approved by ULI SF Staff 48 hours before the event.
In the event of rain, Volunteer Day will be rescheduled to the following week: Sat, Feb 1.
We are excited to announce this year's Annual Volunteer Day is back! This year, ULI SF’s Young Leader Group (YLG) and the Member Engagement Committee have chosen to partner with Tiny Village Spirit in Richmond, CA, an organization dedicated to building emergency housing for young people ages 18–24.
Get ready to strap on your tool belt (all tools used will be provided), get your hands dirty, and help construct tiny homes that provide shelter to vulnerable young adults in need. It’s a unique opportunity to make a tangible difference in addressing the housing crisis while connecting with like-minded real estate and land use professionals who are passionate about giving back.
Volunteers are responsible for their own travel to the meeting site. An optional coordinated group meetup will occur in downtown San Francisco at the Embarcadero BART Station. More details to follow.
Schedule:
8:00-9:00 am: Travel to Richmond Tiny House Village
*8:00-8:50 am: Optional meet-up at Embarcadero BART, Get off at Richmond stop
*8:50-9:00 am: Walk to Richmond Tiny House Village
9:00-12:00 pm: Work on Tiny Homes
12:00-12:30 pm: Lunch provided by Tiny Village Spirit
*12:30-4:00 pm: Optional Volunteer Work
*4:00-5:00 pm: BART back to San Francisco
