Join ULI SF’s Women’s Leadership (WLI) and Housing the Bay Initiatives on May 9th to hear from two of our out-of-town Housing the Bay Summit speakers, both with Bay Area ties. We will discuss their careers and leadership trajectories as well as their trailblazing work in both the public and private sectors. Moderated by Matt Slepin of TerraSearch Partners, we will hear about lessons they’ve learned along the way and thoughts on what it takes to lead others into uncharted territories in order to make a difference.
As President of the Minneapolis City Council, Lisa Bender spearheaded Minneapolis 2040,which caused shockwaves across the country with its elimination of single family zoning. Lisa is a longtime proponent of complete streets and parking reform, and was a co-founder of the Minneapolis Bicycle Coalition. Molly McCabe is the immediate past Chair of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Responsible Property Investment Council, sits on the board of The Freshwater Trust, and is a co-founder ofThe Lotus Campaign, which is creating private-sector solutions for the homelessness in key cities across the country.
