ULI San Francisco: Tips to Efficiently Navigate CEQA
We know: you are frustrated by the lack of meaningful California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) reform.
Every year, rather than useful reform, CEQA gets bloated with more phantom streamlining provisions—provisions with so many requirements, almost no project can use them. But CEQA has existing, underused options for streamlining.
This panel will highlight ways local agencies and developers can use CEQA as written to speed the environmental review process and obtain greater litigation certainty. Covering everything from exemptions to programmatic environmental impact reports, to everything in between, the panelists will discuss their CEQA successes and lessons learned. Please join us for this dynamic conversation.
This program is part of ULI SF’s Housing the Bay, a ULI SF member-driven initiative to foster innovative solutions to the Bay Area housing crisis in the realms of financing, building costs, policy, and the public process. This modular panel comes from our Cost of Building working group and is a lead-up program for the Housing Summit on March 23rd, 2018.
Lunch will be provided for all attendees.
