Join ULI San Francisco members on September 15th for our first in-person tour since 2020. Together we will explore this incredible community asset and learn about how its activation and programming is helping to support the rapidly developing neighborhood now, and in the future. This tour will be fully outdoors.

Salesforce Park, atop the Salesforce Transit Center, is part of the bustling and fast-growing East Cut neighborhood. This distinctive part of San Francisco has experienced significant redevelopment and growth in the past few decades, including the removal of the Embarcadero Freeway, the completion of Salesforce Transit Center (which will eventually house high speed rail), and the densest concentration of new home and office construction in the Bay Area. Salesforce Park is at the forefront of several significant placemaking and community building efforts in the district. Through the pandemic, the park has served as an essential outdoor green oasis in this dense neighborhood of San Francisco. The park hosts a full schedule of free, regularly recurring weekly programs that are enjoyed and valued by the community.

This behind-the-scenes look at Salesforce Park will be led by the Transbay Joint Powers Authority, Biederman Redevelopment Ventures, the East Cut Community Benefit District, and Boston Properties. We’ll be covering the history and future of the park and the neighborhood, the park design process and intent, funding mechanisms, and the process of programming the space.
