In many communities, resilience planning is synonymous with gentrification; there’s a fear that creating a more resilient neighborhood means increasing displacement. And many of these communities are facing far more immediate dangers, such as homelessness, job scarcity and environmental issues. Yet the participation of these very communities will be critical to our success in addressing global warming. Come learn about the innovative techniques being developed to involve local residents in productive dialogue around the implications of global warming in their neighborhoods. Co-presented by SPUR and ULI San Francisco's Policy and Practice Committee.
