During an economic downturn the public agencies lead the way in helping revive the investment cycle through public spending and policies. However, the Covid-19 pandemic has demanded that the public leaders think of out of the box solutions to help the economic activity in the region, especially due to a shortfall in the public budget. In addition, this pandemic has provided an opportunity for the leaders to re-think about what type of growth is required in the region. The panel will discuss the road to recovery and initiatives undertaken by the various public sector agencies to help the economic activity in the region.
