Join us on Friday, February 6 from 2-5pm on UC Berkeley’s campus to learn how UrbanPlan supports the next generation of diverse real estate leaders. This interactive, hands-on training will prepare you to become an UrbanPlan volunteer at a future workshop for public officials, community leaders, or students. It's a great way to meet ULI members and nonmembers alike and get a taste of the program.

For this training, you'll get a firsthand look at the UrbanPlan participant experience. Volunteer teams will work on their own plans and perform a brief mock city council presentation. All teams will start with a failed site plan, requiring you to think like a real-world developer and problem-solve on the spot. As a volunteer, you will help participants consider their choices, understand the trade-offs, and learn about different careers in the real estate industry.

To get started, please sign up to become a volunteer. You will then be sent a link to our on-demand training, which takes 1.5-2 hours to complete. We ask that you finish this on-demand training before you join us for the in-person session on October 2nd. This will give you an inside look at the classroom experience and better prepare you for the interactive session.

To receive access to the on-demand training, please sign up to become a volunteer. The training takes about 1.5-2 hours to complete and provides a great inside look at the classroom experience. You can also read testimonials from our volunteers to better understand the program's impact.

In advance of this session, we ask that you complete the 1.5-2 hour on-demand training. To get an inside look at the classroom experience, watch our video here. To hear from our volunteers, check out our testimonials page

Your volunteer participation can also earn you prizes! We're continuing our volunteer incentive program where you can win prizes ranging from ULI memberships to event stipends.

A special thanks to UC Berkeley for hosting this event.
