Please join ULI San Francisco for an afternoon of service and giving back! We are excited to bring together real estate and land use professionals for our annual Volunteer Day to support and contribute to meaningful social and community-service.
This year, we will be partnering with One Treasure Island for a beach clean-up of Clipper Cove wharf. Upon arrival, we will hear a brief introduction and history of Treasure Island given by the volunteer coordinator, Rheanna Binkley, and lunch will be provided. We will conclude our afternoon of service by connecting at a hosted happy hour at Woods Island Club. We are excited to get outside and come together to make an impact in our community, and we invite you to join us!
Schedule:
11:00 - 11:15: Arrival and registration
11:15 - 11:30: Treasure Island and One Treasure Island overview, Lunch
11:30 - 1:30: Clipper Cove clean-up!
1:30 – 1:45: End clean-up, Collect supplies
1:45 – 2:00: Walk to Woods Brewery
2:00 – 3:00: Networking
What to expect:
- Wear clothes/shoes that can get dirty! Sturdy shoes with thick soles are best
- Bring layers, Treasure Island's weather is unpredictable but often sunny and WINDY
- Restrooms (Porta potties) available on site
- Safety gear and antibacterial hand sanitizer will be provided
- We will be outside, so please wear sunscreen and/or a hat
- Bring water to stay hydrated
- Lunch will be provided
- BYOS (Bring Your Own Snacks) if needed
Getting there:
Ferry runs daily from Downtown San Francisco and departs downtown at 10:35 am; there are limited seats, so please purchase in advance. The volunteer location is approximately 10-minute walk from the terminal. (Walking map below) There is also limited parking available on site.
Disability Note:
The clean-up portion is not disability accessible, but networking at Woods Brewery is.
The health and safety of our members, staff, and event attendees remains a priority of ULI SF. We ask that you please take precautions and/or refrain from attending our events if you believe you have been exposed to COVID-19, are experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19, or are feeling ill prior to the event. You are welcome to mask at your discretion. ULI SF may require that attendees comply with additional COVID-19 procedures of the event venue and local health authorities and may update its policies from time-to-time if circumstances require.
ULI reserves the right to capture and broadcast digital media content in the form of photographs, audio, and video during this Program. By participating in this program, you hereby grant permission to ULI and its representatives to photograph and/or record you during the in-person and virtual events for this program, and to distribute, broadcast, use, or otherwise globally disseminate, in perpetuity, such media without any further approval or payment.
