ULI San Francisco: Modular Construction 2.0
Is modular construction the magic bullet to solve the Bay Area’s housing supply predicament? Join us for an engaging discussion on opportunities, challenges, and potential of modular technology. With only a few built projects, but tremendous potential to positively disrupt the status quo, the modular construction industry is quickly becoming an important player in the Bay Area’s housing future.
The panel of experienced experts includes a wide range of perspectives from market rate developer Randy Miller of RAD Urban, affordable housing developer Jamie Hiteshaw of BRIDGE, Blaire Allison from Cahill Contractors, and modular construction financier Andrew Nathenson from Citi Community Capital. Naomi Porat, formerly of Zeta Communities and currently with Alpha, will lead the discussion on how modular construction can become a feasible solution to create quality housing at scale.
This program is part of ULI SF’sHousing the Bay, a member-driven initiative to tackle some of the root causes of our housing shortage and deliver innovative solutions in the realms of financing, construction costs, policy, and the public process. This modular panel comes from our Cost of Building working group and is a lead-up program for the Housing Summit on March 23rd, 2018.
