Can the Tri-Valley become a new Tech hub? As office demand in San Francisco, Oakland, the Peninsula and Silicon Valley continues to be driven by Tech companies, East Bay markets like the Tri-Valley are preparing for their turns in the spotlight.

We’ll first get an inside look at Workday’s growth in Pleasanton, which has involved both the repurposing of Safeway’s former headquarters and new development, and take a deep dive into the factors that attracted them to the area, as well as the benefits and challenges of being in the Tri-Valley. Then we’ll zoom out to get an update from the experts on the state of the Tri-Valley and 680 office markets, and hear how tech users are shaping the overall marketplace, both in terms of demand & availability of space, and also space design.  We’ll also explore questions such as: are other Tech companies considering expanding into the Tri-Valley?  What factors are attracting them to the area, such as access to talent? And are there obstacles or dark clouds on the horizon that might prevent or discourage such moves?
