Join us for a members-only tour of the recently completed Shirley Chisholm Village, San Francisco’s first affordable housing community designed specifically for San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) employees and their families. Located in the Outer Sunset, this transformative development by MidPen Housing offers 135 affordable homes and showcases a collaborative effort with the Mayor's Office of Housing and Community Development (MOHCD) and SFUSD. Discover how the team applied the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program and innovative design solutions to address the housing needs of educators, paraprofessionals, and other SFUSD employees in a high-opportunity neighborhood. The event includes a panel discussion moderated by Sarah White of the Santa Clara County Housing Authority, with key project partners - BAR Architects & Interiors, MidPen Housing, MOHCD and SFUSD - followed by a guided tour of the village and a networking happy hour with speakers and fellow ULI members.
Speakers:
Sarah White, Assistant Director of Real Estate Development, Santa Clara County Housing Authority (moderator)
Patricia Centeno, Principal, BAR Architects & Interiors
Michelle Kim, Senior Project Manager, MidPen Housing
Judy Shepard-Hall, Senior Operating Subsidy Program Manager, San Francisco Mayor's Office of Housing and Community Development
