(Partner Event) ULI SF/Emerging Leaders Peer Network: Tour of Foster Square
Join the Emerging Leaders Peer Network and Urban Land Institute San Francisco for a tour of Foster Square, a 15-acre mixed-use, mixed-income senior community adjacent to the City of Foster City Government Center. Members of the housing development and property management teams will lead a tour of the various components of the development, which includes a 66-unit affordable senior community developed and operated by MidPen Housing, 200-for sale condominiums under construction by Lennar Homes of California, 155 units of assisted living by Atria Senior Living, and nearly 35,000 square feet of retail and commercial space managed by Blake Griggs Properties. The master developer, The New Home Company, transformed the remaining undeveloped land owned by the City into a vibrant mixed-used destination with surface parking, streets, landscaping and a community plaza that will be the anchor for a true downtown for Foster City. The tour will start at 4:30pm at the affordable housing component, Alma Point at Foster Square, located at 790 Alma Lane at Balclutha Drive (across from the Peninsula Jewish Community Center.) Ample public parking is available adjacent to the property.
Please contact Sarah McIntire, firstname.lastname@example.org, if cost is a barrier to participation.
Public Transportation: Closest public transit station is Hillsdale Caltrain Station in San Mateo. The site is a less than 15 minute rideshare away. There is also a free Mariner’s Island Caltrain shuttle that leaves Caltrain at 3:57pm and arrives at Shell & E. Hillsdale Blvd (2nd stop) at 4:13pm, which is less than a ½ mile from the tour
