Tailored after the popular TV show, Shark Tank offers the audience a look behind the closed doors of an investment committee, featuring two investment proposals by entrepreneurs promoting actual real estate developments. The sharks will critique the presentations and ask hard-hitting questions leveraging their experiences, critical evaluation methods and quick wits. The event promises to be a unique, dynamic and real-world look into the behind-the-scenes machinery of an equity raise.

The Sharks:

Michael Jameson, Prudential Mortgage Capital. Mike is a Managing Director with Prudential Mortgage Capital Company. In this role he is responsible for managing the firm’s third-party, commercial mortgage asset management business.

Susan Taymor Sagy, Co-CEO of W3 Partners. Susan has over 25 years of real estate experience developing large scale urban and suburban commercial and mixed-use projects in California. Throughout her career she has developed and repositioned over 3.8MM square feet of commercial and mixed-use product valued at over $1.5B.

Joshua Myerberg, Morgan Stanley Josh Myerberg, our hall of famer Shark is an Executive Director of Morgan Stanley and Deputy Portfolio Manager for Prime Property Fund. During his tenure at Morgan Stanley, Josh has been involved in the execution and asset management of more than $2.0BN of real estate investments across a variety of asset classes and structures.

The Projects/Presenters:

Transit-Oriented Mixed-Use Development on Unsubordinated Ground Lease: Unafraid of complexity, local developer Jonathan Fishpaw of the Republic Family of Companies seeks equity to fund a Millbrae BART development that will incorporate residential, office, retail and hotel uses over a BART ground lease.

Transit-Oriented Seniors Housing in Milpitas: With the 75+ year old segment of the population slated to greatly outpace the broader population in terms of growth over the near term, the demographics of seniors housing portend favorable fundamentals. Seniors housing expert Terry Freeman seeks equity to develop a community in a strong walkable location in Milpitas.
