Lodge at the Presidio Tour (Hard Hat)
Join ULI San Francisco for a hard hat tour of the ongoing rehabilitation of 105 Montgomery Street which was originally built in 1895 as an Army barracks and is being converted by the Presidio Trust into the 42-room Lodge at the Presidio. The Lodge at the Presidio is part of the iconic Montgomery Barracks streetscape, among the most recognizable buildings in the Presidio, and is adjacent to the popular outdoor event gathering space known as the Main Parade Ground (at the cross street of Montgomery St. and Lincoln Blvd.). From the innovative seismic solution to the installation of the guest rooms the Lodge at the Presidio project is a model for incorporating the best of historic preservation, adaptive reuse, and sustainability.
Representatives from the Presidio Trust and the Lodge at the Presidio will be on-hand to discuss the challenges and opportunities they faced while rehabilitating the historic building for hospitality. Sign up early, as the tour is limited to 25 people and is likely to sell out!
We will be walking through a construction site. Please wear sturdy boots or shoes, long pants, and long sleeves. Please do not wear open toe shoes, heels, or tennis shoes. Hard hats, vests, and safety glasses will be provided.
