ULI SF is thrilled to announce the recipients of the 2025 Chamberlin Fellowship for Graduate Students: Yutong Li and Kendenn Rose.
The Chamberlin Fellowship offers invaluable opportunities for the recipients to engage with ULI events and educational activities as full members for two years. These experiences are designed to benefit the fellows during the formative years of their professional careers, providing them with critical exposure to industry best practices, innovations, and a wide network of land use and real estate professionals.
Yutong Li is a second-year Master of City Planning candidate at UC Berkeley, concentrating on Housing and Community and Economic Development. She is also pursuing an Interdisciplinary Graduate Certificate in Real Estate. At UC Berkeley, she serves as the City Planning Vice President of Berkeley Real Estate Club (BREC) and College of Environmental Design Interdepartmental Group Representative of Planning Student Association (PSA).
Yutong’s academic and professional work focuses on the intersection of housing, planning, and infrastructure to support equitable and resilient communities. Her interests span affordable housing, transit-oriented communities, and regional economic development. Before Berkeley, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Finance and Urban Studies from New York University Shanghai and has worked in real estate consulting and planning research roles.
Yutong is honored to be selected as a ULI Chamberlin Graduate Student Fellow and hopes to contribute to and learn from a diverse network of professionals committed to inclusive and sustainable cities.
Kendenn Rose is a full-time MBA candidate at the Haas School of Business, where she is pursuing the Berkeley Interdisciplinary Graduate Certificate in Real Estate. Before Haas, she served on the Strategy & Operations team at Compass, where she led initiatives to improve brokerage operations and supported executive leadership on growth strategy. Her experience at Compass reinforced her commitment to expanding access to homeownership and addressing systemic barriers to housing affordability.
At Berkeley, Kendenn serves as Co-President of the Berkeley Real Estate Club and, most recently, led her team to victory in the 2025 Golden Shovel Competition. This summer, she will join Related California’s market-rate development team in San Francisco. Her long-term goal is to become an urban developer who delivers sustainable, mixed-use communities that promote equity and innovation across California’s cities.
Kendenn is honored to be a Chamberlin Graduate Student Fellow and looks forward to continuing to strengthen ties within the real estate community while championing sustainable urban development as a foundation for thriving neighborhoods.
Congratulations to Yutong and Kendenn on being selected as the 2025 Chamberlin Fellows! We look forward to seeing the positive impact they will continue to make through the opportunities and mentorship provided by this fellowship.
The Chamberlin Graduate Student Fellowship is made possible by an endowment funded by Stephen and Susan Chamberlin.
