Housing the Bay Happy Hour: Cocktail Recipes!
Take a look at these cocktail recipes from ULI Members!
Last week’s virtual Housing the Bay Summit was a success, with 400+ attendees and 23 speakers on a wide range of important topics and innovative ideas.
Particularly, we want to congratulate the winners of the audience vote during the Construction Technology Start-up session, Mighty Buildings. Mighty Buildings is dedicated to reimagining the building industry, from the factory to the foundation. Sam Ruben, Chief Sustainability Officer and Co-Founder at Mighty Buildings, showed the audience their state-of-the-art automation and innovative new technologies, which can 3D print structures 2x as quickly with 95% less labor hours and 10x less waste than conventional construction.
“We are honored to be given the opportunity to share with the ULI community on how Mighty Buildings is working to address the housing affordability crisis, by unlocking the productivity of the existing labor force through the use of 3D printing, robotics, and automation,” said Ruben.
During the session, Ruben was interviewed by Jordan Moss of Catalyst Housing, and explained how Mighty Buildings works with compliance and regulatory agencies to develop future-forward materials that are tested to the most rigorous standards with nearly zero waste production methods. Ruben was also clear on Mighty Buildings’s commitment to making beautiful, affordable, and sustainable homes a reality for more people.
Garnering 73% of the attendee’s vote at ULI SF’s virtual Housing the Bay Summit, Ruben believes, “this is a testament to our mission and we are very excited to be working together with ULI to show how innovation can unlock new approaches to some of the most intractable problems faced by the housing sector.”
Congratulations, Mighty Buildings!
