As the academic year draws to a close, we at ULI San Francisco are taking a moment to reflect on the incredible achievements of our UrbanPlan program, powered by the unwavering dedication of our amazing volunteers!

Thanks to your generous contributions, we’re thrilled to announce that UrbanPlan reached over 500 participants this year, spanning both our transformative high school programs and impactful workshops for community leaders. A significant highlight was successfully hosting a specialized workshop for elected officials in the Bay Area, showcasing UrbanPlan’s real-world relevance at the highest levels. Your commitment to empowering the next generation of urban thinkers and engaging community leaders truly makes a tangible difference in shaping the future of our built environment.

Spotlight on Our Stars: Incentive Program Winners & Fall Meeting Scholars!

We’re excited to celebrate our latest UrbanPlan Volunteer Incentive Program Winners:

A special round of applause goes to our superstar volunteers, Katarina Bogdan and Shwetha Subramanian, who each dedicated over 13 hours in classrooms or workshops this semester! Your exceptional commitment is truly inspiring.

Furthermore, we were proud to award 13 Fall Meeting Scholarships this year to volunteers who dedicated 3 or more sessions to the program, helping them attend ULI’s premier event in San Francisco.

Looking Ahead: Fall Opportunities & Trainings!

The UrbanPlan program will resume volunteer opportunities in October for the upcoming academic year. We anticipate sessions at Piedmont High, Palo Alto High, and San Jose State University, as well as a workshop with Leadership Sunnyvale with more to come.

To ensure all new and returning volunteers are ready, we will host two in-person volunteer trainings in late September and early October: one in the East Bay and one in the South Bay. Keep an eye out for more details on specific dates and venues in the coming weeks!
