ULI San Francisco would like to congratulate the entire team behind the HomeKey LifeMoves project in Mountain View, which was just awarded the prestigious and highly competitive ULI Americas Awards for Excellence.
ULI began the Awards for Excellence program in 1979 to recognize truly superior development efforts in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors. Winning projects represent the highest standards of achievement in the development industry—standards that ULI members deem worthy of attainment in their professional endeavors. Today the real estate and land use industry widely recognizes the ULI Global Awards for Excellence as one of its most prestigious awards programs.
Homekey Mountain View is a non-congregate shelter for individuals, couples, and families with children experiencing homelessness. Responding to the pandemic and looking for innovative solutions to provide additional non-congregate shelter, LifeMoves, in partnership with the City of Mountain View, pulled together a team of development experts to design a strategy to identify underutilized land and rapidly build housing with prefabricated, modular structures. The project team includes:
Developers: LifeMoves, City of Mountain View, Sares Regis, XL Construction
Designers: Charles Bloszies Architecture & Structures, BKF Civil Engineers, ARUP (MEPF), West Environmental Engineering
