San Francisco City Hall goes Platinum!

Urban Land Magazine recognizes the historic City Hall as the oldest building in the U.S. to achieve LEED Platinum for Existing Buildings: Operation & Maintenance. What a sustainability milestone here in San Francisco. The City Hall project represents an agreement between the city and the Clinton Global Initiative to create a showplace that pushes sustainability beyond a building to a neighborhood concept. Local projects & firms named Fall Meeting winners

Congratulations to the teams of the Exploratorium, Emerald Vista and Guthrie Green! At New York’s ULI Fall Meeting these projects rounded up industry awards and honors at the annual real estate conference. The Exploratorium was named a winner of the ULI Global Awards. The waterfront museum was one of thirteen international real estate projects achieving a high standard of excellence in design, construction, economics, planning and management. The development was headed by Wilson Meany, and designed by EHDD Architecture. ULI Resilience Highlights SF Bayview

Bayview, San Francisco

The latest Urban Land magazine addresses a local concern — community survival after a major earthquake. In the article “San Francisco’s Bayview Plans for Resilience at the Neighborhood Level”, church administrator G.L. Recap: Redefining Oakland’s Broadway Corridor

The City of Oakland received a boost from ULI’s national expertise in re-visioning the Broadway corridor. The March 1st presentation at City Hall Council of Chambers culminated the City Study Visit, one component of the year-long program for the Oakland ULI Rose Center Fellows, four Oakland officials, Deanna Santana, Gregory Hunter, Aliza Gallo and Mayor Jean Quan.
