Are you looking for ways to get more involved with ULI SF? Consider applying for a spot on a ULI SF committee, where you can deepen your involvement, give back, and connect with peers from across the land use industry.
Committee members are expected to attend monthly committee meetings, bring ideas and actively contribute, and carry out committee work outside of meetings to help drive ULI SF’s programming and initiatives.
There are a limited number of spots available on each committee. Applications will be reviewed by committee co-chairs, and we will reach out if your skills match the needs of a committee.
These ULI SF committees are accepting applications through Sunday, February 8th, 2026 at 11:59 PM.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) committee provides guidance on ULI SF’s programming, governance, our Diversity Membership Fund, as well as overseeing our Bay Area Developers of Color Program. DEI works collaboratively to develop policies and best practices to move ULI SF forward as an industry and an organization that promotes diversity and opportunity and safety and equity for all.
Members are central to ULI SF and are key to driving our strategies, programs, and initiatives. The Member Engagement committee helps new members navigate ULI SF and organizes events showcasing ULI SF opportunities for members and nonmembers.
As the professional hub for more than half of our membership base, San Francisco is home to the majority of our high-quality, content-rich programs. Some of our signature events in the past have included: Emerging Trends in Real Estate and the Capital Markets Update. Additionally, we provide members with an opportunity to tour and investigate the latest San Francisco deals, discuss current hot topics in real estate and land use, and build critical skills and advance their careers.
Whether enjoying an exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour of a tech campus, exploring public-private development trends with the VTA, BART, and SamTrans, or evaluating the state of the homebuilding market, the Silicon Valley Programs committee provides content-rich programming from the South Bay through the Peninsula and endeavors to enhance ULI’s position as a long-term player in the region.
The Sustainability Committee works on educating and engaging Bay Area real estate and land use leaders in creating and implementing sustainable development practices in our communities. This committee also helps to link ULI SF to relevant projects and initiatives from ULI HQ’s Centers & Initiatives via research reports, national programming, and potential grant opportunities.
Technical Assistance for Communities (TA4C)
ULI San Francisco’s Technical Assistance for Communities (TA4C) committee offers a range of technical advice, educational resources, and professional development opportunities to help cities, counties, public agencies, and communities enhance their understanding of the processes and advance the development of more sustainable and vibrant communities. If you’re interested in serving as a TAP panelist, you can apply here.
The UrbanPlan committee supports the volunteer efforts of ULI’s UrbanPlan program, which provides project-based learning on development and real estate for students, public officials, and non-profits. The committee aims to create a more sophisticated level of discourse among local stakeholders involved in land use decisions through engaging today and tomorrow’s voters and community leaders so, together, we can create better communities.
Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI)
The mission of the ULI Women’s Leadership Initiative is to raise the visibility and number of women leaders in ULI and the real estate industry. ULI SF’s WLI committee delivers programs to help achieve this mission: programs that focus on women’s leadership, that advance WLI’s ambitious objectives, and ultimately achieve positive change in the industry.
