ULIsf Welcomes Two New Staff

ULI San Francisco welcomes two Bay Area natives to our District Council staff. Julie Luu joined us in May as our Administrative Assistant and Cali Slepin joined us in June as an Associate. Julie hails from the South Bay and received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Urban Studies and Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley. While studying, she worked in historic preservation at the SF Planning Department and in economic development at the City of Palo Alto, which spurred her interest in urban planning in the Bay Area. New WLI Study: Women in Leadership in the Real Estate and Land Use Industry

The Women’s Leadership Initiative released its first comprehensive research study entitled Women in Leadership in the Real Estate and Land Use Industry. WLI wanted to fill a void in existing research on women in the workplace, which has until now primarily analyzed employees of Fortune 500 companies and has not looked at the nuances in real estate specifically. ULIsf is pleased to announce the recipients of the WLI Fall Meeting Scholarship. Eight outstanding women who have shown leadership within ULIsf will receive complimentary registration and be matched with a local mentor and WLI Ambassador. Funded by the ULIsf District Council, the scholarships complement the ten that were awarded by WLI Global.
